Dr Steve Kitley : Veterinarian
Born in Cape Town, Schooled at Wynberg Boys High, obtained a B.Sc. degree from University of Cape Town in zoology and microbiology, graduated from University of Pretoria, Onderstepoort with a degree in veterinary science in 1976. Also a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. He has worked in country practice with cattle, sheep and pigs, but since then only with domestic pets. His particular intents lie in cats, gundogs and terriers.

He has shown pure-bread dogs, four of which were show champions. He has been Chairman of the local branch of the SA Veterinary Assocation Chairman and Trustee of the SA Veterinary Foundation, Trustee of the Feline Research Trust, member of the Executive Committee of the Kennel Union of SA, Chairman vice-chairman of all-breed dog clubs, Honorary Vice President of the Cape Gundog Club, Honorary Veterinarian to the Western Province Cat Club.
